Once you have highlighted the game you want to play, click Load. In the pane on the right you can see timestamps, screenshots and playtime for that saved game. In list view, the pane on the left shows a list of your saved games. Click the list and tile icons at the bottom left of the window to toggle between the two. Hundreds of games run on ScummVM, so I’ll be trying to only include a few from each genre. What follows are some of my favorite games that run (and run well) on ScummVM. There are two views: list view and tile view. If you have a computer (or a game console), decent odds you can run ScummVM on it. It does not actually prevent the console window from running, but rather hides it from view.

Go to Paths and click the top button, that says: Save path: Then find your Save folder you created in the game folder - DON'T open the folder - and click choose.

ScummVM follows the XDG Base Directory Specification, so by default the saved games can be found at ``~/.local/share/scummvm/saves/``, but this location might vary depending on the value of the ``XDG_DATA_HOME`` environment variable. Have you tried to rename it to one of your own saved game files If not, then open ScummVM and edit your game. It can also be changed in the :doc:`configuration file `.ĭefault saved game paths are shown below. The save directory can be changed with the savepath setting in the :doc:`Paths tab `. The :ref:`autosave period ` can be changed in the Misc settings tab, or in the :doc:`configuration file `. ScummVM automatically saves your game every 5 minutes.
